Newly Single Eva Longoria Is Feeling “Very Excited About Life”

Eva Longoria keeps with that gorgeous smile. No matter what!!!
“I feel very excited about my life and I’m excited about things to come,” the actress tells PEOPLE, speaking out for the first time since her split from Eduardo Cruz. “There are so many things on the horizon.”
What’s in the horizon?? Next week Eva will be visiting President Barack Obama in Washington to discuss education, immigration and the economy.
“I’m always nervous [about meeting him],” says Eva, who co-chairs his re-election campaign. “It’s the President of the United States. You should always get nervous.”
Also on her agenda is promoting the series finale of Desperate Housewives, launching her latest fragrance Evamour at the end of this month, executive producing NBC’s new fall reality show, All About Love and she will going on an upcoming trip to Europe for L’Oreal.
As for the breakup, a source close to Eva it is something that happened, and she’s moving on and focusing on her work right now.
