Linda Evangelista Child-Support Case Gets Ugly

Supermodel Linda Evangelista, who is seeking $46,000 in monthly child-support for her 5-year-old son, Austin, with French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, had her lawyer assert in a Manhattan courtroom Thursday that Francois had “suggested she terminate the pregnancy.”
Speaking in court, Francois who happens to be Salma Hayek‘s husband, revealed that he was “not involved in the decision” to have the child, but assured Linda he would “recognize the baby,” reports New York’s Daily News.
And while his lawyer denied claims that Francois suggested Linda have an abortion, her attorney says he did suggest that she terminate the pregnancy and that her response to his abortion idea was that “She would support the child herself, since he had made it perfectly clear to her that he had no interest in doing so.”
Linda who claims has covered the expenses for the child for most of his life, says that the $46,000 a month being requested would be used to cover $16,000 for armed ex-NYPD detective chauffeurs and nanny fees totaling about $7,000.
