Sofia Vergara has reportedly split from her boyfriend of two years, environmental businessman Nick Loeb, according to reports.
The New York Post reports that while out solo on Monday at the Met Gala in New York City, the 39-year-old Modern Family actress told other guests that she was once again single since her relationship had ended.
A source tells Celebrity Lives:
“Sofia was confiding in friends at the ball that she and Nick have split. They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times. It is not yet clear if they are over for good, but they are done as a couple for now.”
As to the reason for the breakup, another sources says that the relationship simply “crumbled under the pressure of her growing fame and popularity” thanks to the success of ‘Modern Family’ which has turned her into one of televisions biggest female stars.
When PEOPLE reached out to Sofia’s reps to confirm the story, they were not immediately available for comment.
