Tom Cruise who’s rumored to be the ultimate control freak is said that have been completely caught completely off guard when his wife of five years, actress Katie Holmes, filed for divorce.
The actor, who is out in Iceland filming the sci-fi thriller Oblivion reportedly “had no idea this was coming” a source tells PEOPLE. “He’s totally devastated and heartbroken.”
Katie has reportedly moved into her new apartment and has requested sole custody of their 6-year-old daughter Suri. All with the help of her lawyer father, Martin, came to New York to help her make a quick exit.
